11 private historic homes and gardens open up to the public to showcase the unique and timeless characteristics of these one-of-a-kind residences.

Stroll the neighborhood to shop from nearly 50 homes setting up shop on the same day. Check back before the event for a digital map, or meet us at the Ballantine Gates for a printed version. We hope to see you there!

Newark PorchFest by FHCA is back for its 4th year! Musicians and artists will use porches and front yards to showcase their talents at this free, family-friendly event. The first hour of PorchFest is dedicated to KidsFest, from 11-12. To learn more and to participate, visit us at NewarkPorchFest.com

The FHCA General Meeting is an opportunity to hear from the board, our committees, and other community leaders about recent and upcoming community activities. In addition to the presentations, an informal mixer will be hosted to allow time for mingling with neighbors. Doors @ 6:45, meeting @ 7:15.

Annual neighborhood-wide garage sale! In 2022 we had an all-time high of 70 homes in participation. All you have to do is sign up through the RSVP link, and FHCA takes care of the permitting, marketing, and promotions.

After an 8-year hiatus, the FHCA House Tour is back—this time with the addition of garden tours, as well. This will be a ticketed event open to the public - revenue benefiting FHCA. Seeking homeowners interested in showcasing the architectural charm or interior design of their homes, or gardens!

The FHCA / Environmental Action Committee is excited to partner once again with the New Jersey Tree Foundation to plant trees at 12-15 homes. To request a tree, or to simply help with the planting please click the RSVP link
